Introduction to Healthcare Careers (7th to 11th April 2025)

Week commencing 7th April 2025: We are excited to be able to offer a work experience programme for students who are currently studying for GCSE's.

Please Note – Day One (Monday) will be school/home based where you will complete a workbook and have some online learning. Tuesday to Friday will be Hospital based.

This programme will be mainly classroom based and you will have the opportunity meet a variety of professional colleagues and undertake some practical activities relating to working in healthcare. However there will visits/tours to departments within the Hospital.

The week will include a variety of experiences, for example:

• Tours of different areas of the hospital.
• Hands on activities relating to Healthcare roles
• Practical Mini Training sessions
• Patient Pathways
• Group Activities

In order to protect you, our staff and patients, you will be supervised at all times and will not be permitted to access any clinical areas unless under direct supervision.

You will also be asked to keep and complete a reflection log during your stay with us.

Due to the anticipated demand for this experience, we are unable to guarantee a placement and all applications will be subject to a selection process.
